> Nancy, you mentioned that you were using SRA Explorations for math. I've not heard of that one. Can you describe it?
I personally have been using Making Math Meaningful for two years but am frustrated by lack of review and lack of "peripherals." I considered Primary Math but am one who cannot just open a math workbook and begin. I need a teacher's manual that explains manipulative use and lays out the program so that I know where I'm going. I didn't find that with Primary Math. Also, drill, an essential part of the program in Singapore, is not present in the workbooks, so you have to come up with your own way to integrate drill. I have chosen to go with Moving with Math this year, a manipulative program that is very organized and well laid out, however the workbooks are rather drab, but MMM didn't have color workbooks so maybe my son won't notice! MWM has a mastery approach but includes daily review and drills and also includes geometry, measurement, etc. in its scope and sequence. Here's hoping it works for us this coming school year--I'm tired of evaluating math programs!
