Hi, Bonnie, I happen to notice that Jim Nance has a video to accompany the Logic Video series. Teacher book, student book, and video run about 75.00. It might seem a bit pricey, but I think it is worth it for the foundation course. Jim Nance teaches at Logos school, and you can the items on both Logos page and on Canon Press's page. As with any video or curriculum, you should preview it before you use it with your own students/children. It was not available when I taught Logic. I don't think there is any shame in using a video teacher, even if you are experienced, particularly for the first Logic. The nice thing about the video teacher, is that the video teacher is never impatient, always stating things exactly the same way (it is called rewind). Further, sometimes as parents we need the external expert. Christ said something about being a prophet in one's own land. Sometimes, as parent/teachers, it is nice to have the "external expert." Even if you say the same exact thing as the teacher in the video, they hear it from the "other guy" and it is true wisdom; you say it, and it is nagging. At least...that is how one son was at the dialectic stage. Fortunately the attitude passess... |
