It depends on what you mean by 'tool'. It's not a book that you will pull methodology out of to use as a homeshooling mom. Rather, it presents an overall philosophy of the teaching and learning process. In this sense, it is a book that should be read over and over on a periodic basis (good thing it's a short, easy read, huh?). As you learn the principles therein, you will become a better teacher, I am convinced. I heartily endorse it.
