Hi KC,

Wes Callihan of Schola Tutorials has some ideas on the Goal of a Classical, Liberal arts, Generalist education. He discusses it according to a Christian Worldview but you can pick and chose from his reasons. The website is;

I am sure Mortimer Alder has something to say on the topic. You might find a few books of his in the library. Also I have always liked this quote but I am not sure who it is from.

"Reading makes a wise man, writing a concise man and
speeches a ready man." The classical education helps us to
grow up into the measure of all those kinds of men. I hope
