Dear RobinS,

I was just thinking although we used Powerglide you may not like it. We have all at one time or another gotten curriculums that someone recommended that didn't work on our own children. My best advice is to try to decide by what criteria you want to buy the program. i.e. your purpose for learning latin, are you familiar with Latin, how much help will you need, grade level, grammar vs. logic student, child's learning style, want self paced modules vs. teacher led, are you combining it with other curricula, and of course price.
After narrowing it down, try to borrow it from a friend or library so you can look at the material and try a few lessons on your children. The library has been one of my best friends for comparing curricula.
You might ask your own library if they will purchase some of the educational materials or get them from intralibrary loan. Or look at it at a homeschool store or your next curriculum fair. Many book or curricula companies will let you return books within 30 days. I think I make less curricula bloopers when I actually handle the material.
Happy Hunting,
Penny Andrukat
